Position: Sanitation Supervisor
As a Sanitation Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day functions of the sanitation department, ensuring a clean, safe, and compliant working environment. This is a critical role that combines leadership, technical expertise, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day functions of the sanitation department.
- Provide training related to sanitation practices and chemicals for sanitation associates and production associates, when necessary.
- Conduct weekly sanitation meetings to maintain departmental priorities and efficiency.
- Maintain the Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS) and ensure its effective implementation and daily maintenance.
- Manage the 5S program within the facility to promote organization and cleanliness.
- Conduct chemical training when necessary, ensuring safe handling and application.
- Continuously improve sanitation department processes, including root cause analysis, to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Delegate and implement tasks quickly and decisively.
- Perform daily inspection and verification of the sanitation team's completed tasks.
- Ability to design and implement sanitation policies, create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and represent the sanitation program during audits.
- Perform all sanitation requirements on a daily basis.
- Must be able to lift and carry objects, often weighing up to 50 pounds frequently.
- Interactions with cannabis are frequent.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in supervision and sanitation is required.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to motivate a team and hold them accountable to meet standards.
- Proficiency in Google Suite software.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Able to read, understand, and follow Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
- Knowledge of chemicals, including their function and safe usage.
- Understanding of Clean-In-Place (CIP) and Clean-Out-of-Place (COP) cleaning techniques.
- Basic mathematical skills: able to add, subtract, multiply, divide, and estimate.
- Honest and respectful of others.
- Calm and patient in the face of adversity.
- Must have an understanding of Sanitation Controls.
- Must be 21+
Compensation and Benefits:
- Salary Position: $50,000 - $60,000 annually, depending on skill set and experience.
- PTO (Paid Time Off) plans.
